Westminster police are looking for help from the public in identifying suspects in a carjacking, assault and kidnapping.

This morning at 1:30 a.m., a 20-year-old woman reported she was forced into her car by a man with a gun near her apartment in the 4800 block of 81st Place. She was driven to the 8600 block of Zuni, where an accomplice drove up. The two men beat her up and left her in the street. She was treated at a local hospital.

Police are looking for the woman’s car, a 4-door Silver 2000 Chrysler Concord with license plate #471MXG. They’re also looking for the vehicle that the accomplice drove, an older-model, tan, 4-door Nissan Sentra.

Both of the suspects are Hispanic, and stand about 5’9″. The kidnapper was chubby and had streaked brown hair that fell below his ears. The accomplice was skinny and wore a read hooded jacket and a red bandana.
