Westminster – Authorities have released a composite drawing of an armed man suspected of kidnapping, assaulting and carjacking a 20-year-old woman early Thursday near her apartment in the 4800 block of 81st Place in Westminster.

The suspect carried a black revolver, spoke Spanish and was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, in his mid- to late 20s and chubby with ear-length brown hair with blond highlights, Westminster police said.

The victim reported that she was forced into the passenger seat of her silver 2000 Chrysler Concord four-door sedan with Colorado license plate 471MXG.

A male accomplice approached in an older tan Nissan Sentra near the 8600 block of Zuni Street, and both suspects then assaulted the woman and abandoned her in the street, she reported.

She was transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries. There was no report of attempted sexual assault.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic man, also about 5-foot-9, skinny and wearing a red hooded sweat shirt and a red bandanna.

Anyone with information about either of these vehicles or the suspects is asked to call the Westminster Police Department at 303-430-2400, ext. 4360, or Crime Stoppers, 720-913-STOP (7867).
