Colorado Springs – Colorado College, ranked third nationally, scored a goal in each period to defeat Michigan Tech 3-0 on Saturday at the World Arena and complete a weekend sweep.

Marty Sertich, in the top 10 among Division I scoring leaders, had a goal and an assist for the Tigers (11-2-1, 6-1-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association). Michigan Tech, blanked 5-0 on Friday, is 2-11-1, 1-6-1.

Goaltender Matt Zaba, also among the nation’s best, improved his seventh-best goals-against average with the shutout, and made 30 saves.

Joey Crabb scored in the first period with assists from Brian Salcido and Sertich. Sertich then scored his eighth goal of the season in the second. Jimmy Kilpatrick and Brandon Straub assisted on the goal. Scott McCulloch scored in the third, with an assist from Crabb.
