Sales of existing homes in metro Denver were flat in November, according to statistics released Tuesday.
But flat sales should come as no surprise. The local real-estate market typically slows during the holiday season, independent analyst Gary Bauer said.
The median sales price of a single-family home was $248,250 this month, down slightly from the $250,000 reported in October.
Median condo prices were up 4.8 percent to $165,500, compared with $157,904 in October.
The number of homes sold so far this year – 48,919 – is just below last year’s volume of 49,596.
Bauer predicts more of the same next month. Homeowners will take houses off the market in December because of the holidays, he said. The market will pick up in January when homes are listed again.
