Who: Karen Tarbell of Larkspur and Cindy Corlett of Parker. We were attending the Disney Teacher Professional Development Institute. Cindy, a teacher at Sierra Middle School, is a Disney Teacher Award winner and was attending a week of professional development at Disney World. Karen is the principal of Sierra and attended three days of professional development for principals.
Where: Africa at Epcot Center in Disney World
Best meal: Fultons Crab House in Downtown Disney. After a long day of travel, a good seafood dinner tasted great!
Best deal: The Magic Kingdom after 8 p.m. We did not wait in line for any ride.
Best time to go: October is a wonderful time to go. We had great weather, and nighttime temperatures were just right.
Don’t leave home without: Comfortable shoes. The No.1 injury in Disney World is foot injuries.
