Two weeks after his car was crushed by a dump truck that plunged off Interstate 25, 78-year-old restaurateur Sidney Levin remains in critical condition at Swedish Medical Center but is showing signs of improvement, his family said Tuesday.
“Sid is still in a battle for recovery but showing signs of responding to his family and specialists at Swedish Medical Center,” a spokesperson for the family said.
On Nov. 5, a truck driven by Antonio Rodriguez Oronia, 55, was unable to slow with traffic in Greenwood Village, crossed two lanes and the shoulder of the highway and hit a concrete barrier before falling 16 feet off a bridge and onto Levin’s Lexus below on East Belleview Avenue.
Oronia was cited for careless driving causing bodily injury and failure to comply with commercial-vehicle minimum-safety standards, police reported.
