Getting your player ready...

You think you’ve got what it takes to beat Bode or carve like Klug? Here’s your shot. The Jeep King of the Mountain Series stops in Crested Butte this weekend with what is likely the fastest track to snowy stardom. The 13th annual race series, which draws top skiers and snowboarders from across the planet with the richest cash purse in ski racing, begins a two-day stand in CB with the national open qualifier. Win the qualifier and you’ll be throwing elbows with the world’s top riders on the series’ infamous Y Course, which features individual parallel slalom courses that unite in a single skiercross-type course for the final stretch. Win against the heavy-hitters and you’re in The Game after a mere weekend of racing.

Even if you don’t want to compete, the action is a mixture of X Games and Olympics. Sunday’s Professional Skiing & Snowboarding World Championships will be races to remember.
