AFC West rival Oakland claimed former Broncos cornerback Lenny Walls off waivers today. He was scheduled to report to Oakland today and is expected to be in uniform Sunday at San Diego.
Walls, Denver’s starting right cornerback at the beginning of the season, was put on the injured reserve on Nov. 1 and cut Monday.
He lost his starting job to rookie Darrent Williams in Week 3 and played in nickel defense packages and filled in for injured players. Walls injured his groin Oct. 23 at the New York Giants.
