Parker police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who attempted to kidnap a 10-year-old boy on Monday.

The boy was on his way to Legacy Point Elementary School in the Sun Marke development when he noticed the man following him. He told police the man tried to entice him into his truck. The boy was able to run away.

He helped police complete a composite sketch of the suspect. He is an Hispanic male, in his early to mid-thirties, approximately 5’10” to 6′ tall, with brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket and driving a White truck with green lettering on the side.

“Teach your children to be careful around strangers and to be aware of their surroundings,” said Lieutenant Jim Tsurapas, in a statement. “If approached by someone they don’t know, children should run away and get help from an adult.”

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Tsurapas, at 303-841-9800.
