Getting your player ready...
Brandon Miree had a chance to become an active player for the first time in the NFL, but he chose to stay with the team that’s widely regarded as the best home for running backs.
After considering an opportunity to leave the Broncos’ practice squad to join another team’s 53-man roster last week, Miree’s agent, Richard Katz, said Saturday that Miree decided to stay with the Broncos.
“Most players would bolt, but this shows there is some loyalty by players,” Katz said. “Brandon loves it in Denver. The team really likes him, and he believes his future is with the Broncos.”
Katz wouldn’t disclose which team was making a run at Miree, who was a seventh-round pick out of Pitt in 2004. He was injured all of last season.
