New CDs in stores today include the second full-length release from a pop princess ready to chuck her Disney innocence, a superstar rap-metal band’s rebirth since losing their guitarist to God, and the latest effort from one of England’s top rap acts.

Lindsay Lohan, “A Little More Personal (Raw)” (Casablanca/Universal): Lohan opens with “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father),” one of two tracks on this album that speak to the well-publicized drama plaguing the fractured Lohan family. Since the singer-actress enlisted such chart-savvy producers as Kara DioGuardi (Ashlee Simpson/Hilary Duff), listeners can expect this album to fall in line with those packaged pop-rock acts.

Korn, “See You on the Other Side” (Virgin) : This album is the result of the guys’ rebuilding process after Brian Welch turned to religion and left the band. Fans have high hopes for the album since hearing the raucous first single, “Twisted Transistor,” which features such rappers as Snoop Dogg and Xzibit impersonating the members of Korn.

Roots Manuva, “Back to Mine” (Back to Mine): Roots Manuva is the rapper born Rodney Smith. For nearly a decade, Smith has been an award-winning British rap producer known for his captivating voice, smart lyrics and stylish sound laced with reggae and trip-hop. This 18-track offering should appeal to fans of Blackalicious, Aesop Rock, DJ Shadow and Ms. Dynamite.
