Best deal: Bus tour of Cabot Trail with a local guide. It takes you to picturesque Cape Breton Island, with fascinating maritime history. Lighthouses are strewn about the coast. Highlands Links, Canada’s third- ranked golf course is located here.
Best time to go: We toured Nova Scotia, Quebec and Toronto in late September, early October. The color of fall is beautiful.
