CDs – coming full circle.
Remember when you scrimped and saved and pinched pennies to gather, oooh, about $9.99 to buy a new CD (remember when CDs were less than ten bucks?), and a stack of CDs ceiling-high was bragging rights in any neighborhood?
Yeah, inflation (and your iPod or mp3 player) has dwindled that euphoria.
Plus, they get scratched by all your AARP mail.
That said, your music compact discs can still serve a purpose – bring your CDs to any Breckenridge Brewery through December 16 for their USED CD Drive, where their value will be donated to , who will then forward the donation to Food Bank of the Rockies.
Sponsored by KCUV Radio, it’s holiday giving with a recycled musical twist.

Colorado Avalanche – the most dangerous in the country.
But not the kind of Avalanche that comes on skates and tangles with Zamboni machines – the real kind that can threaten your life.
Colorado is #1 in the country for avalanche-related mortalities, and knowing as much as possible about handling yourself and others during such a crisis is essential to survival if you’re a back-country fan.
REI’s flagship store will have lots of info during their Avalanche Awareness clinic tonight.
