Princeton, N.J. – Sophomore forward Kyle Koncz scored a game-high 18 points Saturday night, leading Princeton to a 59-50 win over Wyoming.

Luke Owings came off the bench to add 17 points for Princeton (2-4), which was in control for most of the game before allowing Wyoming (4-4) to rally late in the second half.

Princeton led by as much as 17 points, but Kevin Lewis’ basket with 3:40 left cut the Cowboys’ deficit to 48-47. Koncz hit a 3-pointer just before the shot clock expired on Princeton’s next possession and added another to ice the win for the Tigers of the Ivy League.

Steve Leven, a 6-foot-5 junior, led Wyoming with 15 points and Lewis added 13 for the Cowboys.

Justin Williams – the nation’s leading shot blocker – finished with eight blocks for the Cowboys, who had trouble dealing with the Tigers’ patient, clock- consuming offense.

Princeton led 37-22 at halftime, shooting 54 percent from the field. Wyoming shot 47 percent, but the Tigers took 11 more shots in the first half.
