Christian Anschutz, the youngest child of Denver financier Philip Anschutz, today helped unveil a $100 million residential and retail redevelopment during a groundbreaking ceremony in Cherry Creek.
The project’s initial phase, scheduled for completion in spring 2007, will feature five floors of high-end condominiums above one floor of retail space. A 240-space parking garage is also planned.
Earlier this year, Christian Anschutz’s company, Denver-based Western Development Group, acquired the site bordered by First and Second avenues, Fillmore Plaza and Detroit Street.
Previously home to a Larry’s Shoes store, shuttered in 2003, it was owned by a subisidary of the company that owns the Denver Technological Center.
