Prosecutors have charged a Parker man with two counts of murder stemming from an “aggressive driving” wreck that left two men dead.
The crash happened Nov. 8 on E-470 near Parker Road during rush hour.
On Monday night, the Colorado State Patrol arrested Jason Benjamin Reynolds, 32, in the deaths of Greg Boss, 35, of Lone Tree and Kelvin Norman, 50, of Highlands Ranch.
Reynolds is being charged with two counts each of murder, vehicular homicide and violent crime.
If convicted, Reynolds could face a death sentence or life in prison, said the Arapahoe County district attorney’s office.
Investigators said Reynolds was driving a 1997 Jeep Wrangler westbound when his vehicle collided with Norman’s 1997 Toyota 4Runner. The Toyota crossed the center median and crashed into a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Boss.
Witnesses said Reynolds pulled up behind Norman and flashed his lights to get by, according to an arrest affidavit. After Reynolds passed, Norman got in behind him and Reynolds pumped his brakes, causing Norman to clip Reynolds, starting the double-fatal collision.
Norman and Boss died at the scene. Reynolds was not hurt.
“This is what happens when people involve themselves in aggressive driving,” said District Attorney Carol Chambers.
In September, Reynolds received at letter from the State Patrol warning him that at least three other drivers had called a hotline to report him as aggressive, authorities said at a news conference Tuesday.
Reynolds was being held without bond Tuesday at the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
