Christmas ice sculptures

Ice sculptures of Santa, the reindeer and their sleigh will be created on Santa Fe Plaza on West San Francisco Street in Santa Fe, beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting. Santa Fe’s Winter Antiquities Show opens Dec. 28 with a gala, $50 per person, and a benefit preview reception, 6-9 p.m. All proceeds support Kitchen Angels, a Santa Fe charity providing home meals for hundreds of community members. The show continues at El Museo Cultural, 1615 Paseo de Peralta, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 29-31. Admission is $10 per day or $15 for a run-of-show ticket. Children 16 and under are free. A Breckenridge tale

Torchlight parade

Winter Park’s annual Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Saturday begins with caroling around the bonfire at the base of Winter Park Resort next to the Zephyr Lift.
