The body of a woman was found this morning after her boyfriend called police and told them that he had killed her, authorities said.
A man in his 20s called police about 7 a.m. from a parking lot at the Pepsi Center and told them about the crime.
Police went to the 2500 block of South Cook Street and found a dead woman in her 20s.
“They did know each other,” said police Detective Virginia Lopez. “This was not a random act of violence.”
Neighbors who live around the green and white split-level home either did not know what happened there or they declined to talk about the family.
The homicide investigation led detectives to a place along Interstate 25 at exit 191 in Douglas County.
Investigators were looking for evidence in relation to the case, but Lopez could not say whether anything was found.
