
Fort Worth, Texas – Marcus Hall and Richard Roby each scored 17 points Tuesday night, leading Colorado to a 77-59 victory over Texas Christian.
Roby scored 15 of his points in the first half, including 11 of the Buffaloes’ first 14 points.
Colorado, 7-1 and off to its best start since the 1989-90 season, led throughout.
The Buffaloes took their largest lead of the first half at 30-20 on a jumper by Jayson Obazuaye with 3:23 to play.
Colorado led the Horned Frogs 36-27 at halftime.
The Buffaloes opened the second half with an 11-2 run to extend their lead to 47-29 on a Hall layup. TCU trimmed the deficit to 70-56 on Neil P. Dougherty’s 3-pointer with 3:18 remaining.
Chris Copeland added 14 points and Obazuaye scored 13 for the Buffaloes.
Nile Murry led TCU (3-7) with 12 points and Brent Hackett added 10.
Colorado shot 49 percent from the field and held TCU to 31 percent shooting.
The Horned Frogs saw a two- game winning streak snapped as they lost for the first time since Dec. 7 against Tulane.
