Getting your player ready...

OK, so the Burton Liquid Lounger (MSRP: $130) may not qualify as life-saving gear on the mountain, but it could qualify as life-altering. Whether you are standing in the lift line or by the side of the superpipe, this portable party pack will be the envy of everyone around.

Consider the components: A built-in weather-resistant speaker system comes with a removable AM/FM stereo receiver and auxiliary input for CD and MP3, along with a headphone cable port. Unzip the main compartment to find a molded storage compartment for the included flask, shot glass, stirring rod, wine key, bottle opener and can cooler.

If you get bored – or just plain sloppy – on the slopes, there’s a deck of cards and pair of dice to keep you entertained into the night. When you need to rest, the 2,200-cubic-inch pack also includes a removable folding chair, while the vertical board carrier will help you hike to the next slopeside social.

Necessary? No.

Decadent? Definitely.

But snowboarding never really has been about sacrificing a good time, has it?
