Notes: The Mammoth is coming off a 13-11 loss to Philadelphia. Colorado led 7-2 early in the second quarter but was outscored 4-1 in the fourth quarter. “We saw a lot of positives for three quarters,” Colorado coach Gary Gait said. “We didn’t finish in the end. We’ll continue to develop and prepare and focus on the fourth quarter.” The Knighthawks were 10-6 last season and lost in the NLL semifinals to eventual champion Toronto. At halftime, Mammoth defenseman Rich Catton, a sheriff in Vancouver, British Columbia, and teammates Chris Gill and Dan Stroup, who are B.C. firefighters, will captain lacrosse teams made up of Denver Police Department and Denver Fire Department players. Donnie Young’s family will accept a donation from the Mammoth, an organization supportive of families of police officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty. Young, who was killed last spring, worked many Mammoth games.
