At halftime, Mammoth defenseman Rich Catton, a sheriff in Vancouver, British Columbia, and teammates Chris Gill and Dan Stroup, who are B.C. firefighters, will captain lacrosse teams made up of Denver Police Department and Denver Fire Department players. Donnie Young’s family will accept a donation from the Mammoth, an organization supportive of families of police officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty. Young, who was killed last spring, worked many Mammoth games.
