Edinburg, Texas – Despite 30 points by Kirk Archibeque, Northern Colorado lost 74-63 to Texas-Pan American on Saturday.
Kano Edwards scored 20 points and Colin Lien added 18 for Texas-Pan American.
Archibeque was 12-of-13 from the field for the Bears (3-17). Sean Taibi added 13 points, including three 3-pointers.
Edwards was 8-of-15 from the field, and Lien shot 9-of-15 and had a team-high nine rebounds. Larry Sheppard scored 15 points and had 12 assists for the Broncs (3-14).
Mesa State 74, Regis 60
Andy Classick scored 24 points and had 12 rebounds to help the Mavericks end the Rangers’ seven-game winning streak.
Kurt Bangle scored 15 points and Stephen Soriano added 12 for Mesa State (10-4, 4-2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference).
Logan Garvin scored 16 points to lead Regis (9-6, 4-3). Brandon Butler added 12.
Metro State 82, Western State 55
Drew Williamson scored 20 points, and Dorian Smith came off the bench to score 19 as the Roadrunners (11-4, 5-2 RMAC) got an easy win at the Auraria Events Center.
Jesse Wagstaff and Greg Muth each chipped in 11 points for Metro State.
Gerald Sloan was the only player in double figures for the Mountaineers (5-9, 1-6) with 16 points.
Colorado Christian 78, Colorado College 65
Colorado Springs – Brian Stamer had 29 points and eight rebounds to lead the Mountain Lions (7-8) to the nonconference win. Stamer was 11-of-17 from the field and made all six free throws. Kyle Keefe led the Tigers (3-12) with 16 points.
Nebraska-Kearney 94, UC-Colo. Springs 76
Kearney, Neb. – Avery Stephenson scored 16 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Lopers (11-3, 7-0 RMAC) over UCCS (2-13, 1-6).
Patrick Hannaway led Colorado Springs with a game-high 22 points.
Fort Hays State 57, Adams State 49
Hays, Kan. – Fort Hays State (14-1, 7-0 RMAC) was able to hang on to the win after building an 11-point halftime lead. Roman Moniak led Adams State (5-9, 3-4) with 13 points.
Colorado Mines 80, CSU-Pueblo 64
Golden – The Orediggers (8-7, 3-4 RMAC) placed five players in double figures in an easy home win. Senior guard Travis Test had 15 points and a career-best seven assists, and junior center Ian Elseth scored 16 points and grabbed four rebounds. Mines led 33-18 at the half.
Brett Cloepfil was the only CSU-Pueblo (6-9, 2-5) player in double figures with 24 points.
