Albuquerque – New Mexico coach Don Flanagan knew his team could perform better on offense in the second half against Wyoming.

Sure enough, that’s what happened.

Dionne Marsh scored 13 points and Abbie Letz and Brandi Kimble each added 10, leading No. 18 New Mexico to a 62-39 win over Wyoming on Saturday.

Letz scored eight as the Lobos (13-4, 3-1 Mountain West) began the second half with a 14-0 burst to extend a 23-21 halftime lead.

New Mexico led for good after Jana Francis scored with 17 seconds before the break.

Wyoming (12-3, 2-2) went the final 3:18 of the first half without a field goal and the first 8:29 of the second without scoring from the floor, until Megan McGuffey finally made a baseline jumper.

McGuffey led Wyoming with 15 points. Michelle Taylor had 10 but was scoreless in the second half.

TCU 71, Air Force 57

Fort Worth, Texas – Air Force had trouble against the Horned Frogs’ (8-6, 2-1 MWC) full-court press and trouble stopping forward Ashley Davis, who made four 3-pointers and led TCU with 20 points. Pamela Findlay made four 3-pointers and topped Air Force (10-5, 1-3) with 17 points.

Utah 76, Colorado St. 54

Salt Lake City – Four Utes scored in double figures as Utah (11-4, 2-2 MWC) used a balanced offense and stingy defense to build an early lead. Lindsay Thomas led the Rams (7-7, 1-2) with 14 points.
