Local radio sportscaster Alan Roach has been selected as stadium announcer for Super Bowl XL in Detroit next month.
Roach anchors sports on Colorado’s Morning News on 850 KOA. He’s also the announcer for Rockies, Avalanche and DU hockey games.
“The excitement of just attending the Super Bowl is an experience you’ll never forget but being an active part of the world’s greatest sporting event is beyond my wildest imagination,” said Roach, in a statement released by the radio station.
Roach will also serve in Turin, Italy, as the announcer for Men’s Hockey at the 2006 Olympics, a role he also filled at the 2002 games in Salt Lake City.
