Police officers to box for charity
Police officers from Aurora and Denver will face off in the ring for an inaugural charity boxing exhibition Feb. 3 in the Main Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Tech Center, 7800 E. Tufts Ave.
As many as 10 bouts, featuring both male and female police officers, will occur in several weight classes. There also will be silent and live auctions.
Proceeds will be shared by Aurora’s Cops Fighting Cancer and the Denver Police Brotherhood Charity.
Tickets are $17 in advance at all Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Credit Union locations, including 992 Potomac Circle, Aurora; 700 W. 39th Ave., Denver; and 9500 Heritage Hills Circle, Lone Tree.

Free materials for nonprofits
Used children’s books and materials that have been removed from the Jefferson County Public Library’s collection are offered free to county nonprofit organizations.
Materials may be picked up the second Thursday of each month. On Feb. 9, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., representatives of county charitable agencies may stop by the county library offices, 10200 W. 20th Ave., in Lakewood, to pick up materials that will be in boxes of 25 to 40 books each.

Magic show to benefit day camp
A March 2 magic performance by Garry Carson & Kelsey at the Lakewood Cultural Center aims to benefit Camp Paha, a summer day camp for children and young adults with disabilities.
The evening is hosted by RISE Above! and Friends of Paha.
