Golden – Three people are being held in the Jefferson County Jail on charges that they robbed a man who called a telephone dating service.
The suspects are Kimberly D. Le, 25; Brooke Martin, 22; and Justin T. Wolf, 24.
Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Shires said a 32-year-old Parker man called “Live Links,” an adult dating service advertised on late-night TV, while driving on Tuesday to the casinos in Central City and Black Hawk.
After following the “Live Links” phone-menu directions, the unidentified man was contacted by a woman and was given directions to 18200 W. 60th Ave. to meet her, Shires said.
The man was led to a back bedroom at the residence. Shires said that after sex acts and money were discussed, the victim was confronted by a man holding a baseball bat.
The Parker man was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money and a leather jacket and was ordered to leave.
Shires said people who may have been victims of this type of crime should not fear being prosecuted for sex-related offenses.
