Library shows its Heart and Soul
To celebrate Heart and Soul of Golden month, the Golden Library will sell used paperback romance novels at a dozen for a dollar on Feb. 12-18. The library is at 1019 10th St.

Parents’ early-learning workshop
A two-day early-learning workshop for parents of infants or toddlers up to age 2 will be offered through the Aurora Public Library.
The classes will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. today and Feb. 10 at Tallyn’s Reach Library, 23911 E. Arapahoe Road, or from 10:30 to 11 a.m. March 14 and March 21 at Aurora Central Library, 14949 E. Alameda Parkway.
The “Parenting Counts: A Focus on Early Learning” workshop, presented by Rocky Mountain PBS, teaches participants the importance of getting in tune with the child, how to handle life stresses the child may experience and how to be a positive example in what you say and do.

Looking for Fair & Rodeo queen
Adams County is seeking applicants for the 2006 Adams County Fair & Rodeo Queen.
Those interested can obtain an information packet and application at the Adams County Parks and Community Resources Department, 9755 Henderson Road, Brighton, CO 80601.
The application deadline is 4:30 p.m. Feb. 28. All applications must be returned to the Adams County Parks & Community Resources Department.
There will be a mandatory informational meeting at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Adams County Regional Park Annex. The contest will take place at 9 a.m. March 5 at the Adams County Regional Park Annex.
