Restaurateur Jesse Morreale is teaming with chef Sean Yontz to open Sketch Food & Wine in Cherry Creek.
The restaurant, which opens Feb. 10 at 250 Steele St., will feature classic American fare and more than 400 wines, including 33 by the glass. General manager Aaron Foster, formerly of Adega, will oversee the wine program.
Morreale is co-owner of nightclub La Rumba, Mezcal Mexican Cantina and the All Inn hotel.
Yontz, who owns Chama Restaurant and Tequila Bar in Lakewood, was named top chef in Colorado and chef of the year for 2002 by 5280 Magazine.
Morreale said he’s financing the restaurant, designed by Matt O’Neill, with personal funds. The 4,000-square-foot restaurant will seat 130 people and have an outdoor patio and two temperature-contolled wine cases that separate the main and private dining rooms.
