Greeley – Sean Taibi scored 21 points in just 15 minutes of playing time as Northern Colorado routed Colorado College 80-35 Saturday.
The Bears got the lead early and stayed in control against Colorado College (4-14).
Northern Colorado (4-21) made 59 percent of its shots, while CC hit only 25 percent.
Thanasi Panagiotakopoulos added 10 points for UNC.
The Bears dominated the battle of the boards, 50-15.
Adam Mares scored nine points to lead the Tigers, with Lance Jacobs and Jarrell Sweet each adding eight.
It was the Bears’ largest margin of victory since a 51-point edge over Arizona Bible College in the 1995-95 season.
Adams State 80, Colo.-Colo. Springs 58
Alamosa – Roman Moniak scored a game-high 22 points to lead Adams State over Colorado-Colorado Springs at Plachy Hall.
Rajshad Anderson added 14 points for the Grizzlies (10-11, 7-6 RMAC), while Greg Baker finished with 12. Patrick Hannaway paced UCCS (2-19, 1-12) with 17 points.
Metro State 90, Chadron State 83
Chadron, Neb. – Drew Williamson scored a game-high 29 points to lead Metro State (15-6, 9-4 RMAC) over Chadron State (9-12, 4-9) at Armstrong Gym.
Greg Muth added 13 points for the Roadrunners. Kody Christensen paced Chadron State with 26 points.
Mesa State 56, CSU-Pueblo 55
Pueblo – Andy Classick made a layup with 1:15 remaining to give Mesa (15-6, 9-4 RMAC) the victory. The Thunderwolves’ Brian Wood made one of two free throws with 54 seconds left to pull CSU-Pueblo (8-13, 4-9) within one, but neither team scored again.
Fort Hays State 69, Regis 48
Hays, Kan. – Regis stayed with Fort Hays, ranked No. 2 in Division II, for a half, trailing only 27-21 at the break, but the Tigers (20-1, 13-0 RMAC) put the game away in the second half.
Tyrone Shepherd had 14 points for Fort Hays. Logan Garvin led Regis (11-10, 6-7) with 10 points.
