Teenagers miss an airline flight on which everybody is killed, but the survivors soon find that death comes looking for them in odd and inventive ways. Tonight’s airing is followed by the sequel and a “Final Destination III” is in theaters now. We’re still waiting for “Final Destination IV: Unclear on that Whole ‘Final’ Thing.” (2000) USA Network

6 p.m. “Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team”

More than 1,000 women try out for the famous cheerleading squad. They are evaluated on appearance, poise, dance talent and the ability to tolerate military-grade hair spray products. Country Music TV

7 p.m. “Fear Factor”

Tonight, the theme is Freaks vs. Geeks. The geeks are computer-savvy/socially inept nerds. The freaks can be anybody who admits to watching this show. NBC

8 p.m. “Get this Party Started”

In this new show, professional event planners throw an over-the-top surprise party for a different deserving person. This week’s guest of honor is a hurricane survivor. We thought the mud pie was in bad taste. UPN

8 p.m. “$40 a Day”

This week, we find out if you can dine on the cheap in Amsterdam, a city where you’re never more than one case of the munchies away from blowing the whole budget. Food Network

8 p.m. “Parallel Universe”

Scientists discuss the possibility of parallel universes, where the laws of physics are altered, time runs backwards and “Friends” is still in production. Discovery Science Channel

9 p.m. “Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit”

This week’s murder victim was a lawyer and a stripper. Jurors found her closing lap dance very convincing. NBC
