Metro State men’s soccer signs 12 players
The Metro State men’s soccer team signed 12 players to join the team next season, including 10 Colorado natives and three college transfers, coach Ken Parsons said.
Robert Armstrong, an Aurora native, will transfer as a senior from Cal State-Fullerton; John McClain, of Denver, arrives as a sophomore from Old Dominion; and Ryan Vickery, a redshirt freshman, comes from Cal-Irvine. Incoming freshmen include: Joe Duran, Portland, Ore.; Kyle Borkowski and Wynne Mason, Grandview High School; Michael Martinez, Horizon; Ian Lanier, Golden; Chris Mize and Ken Weigang, Rocky Mountain; Sam Rolph, Mullen; Kyle Schafer, Liberty.
Buffs add tight end from American Samoa
The Colorado football team got a letter of intent to join the team from Ino Vitale Jr., a 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end from Nu’uuli-Poly Tech in American Samoa, coach Dan Hawkins said.
