Three former University of Colorado basketball standouts will be honored Saturday at halftime of the Buffs’ game against Texas Tech, which starts at 2 p.m.
Robert Jeangerard (1953-55), a member of CU’s 1954-55 Final Four team and the 1956 U.S. Olympic gold medalists, Jim Davis (1961-64), a two-time all-Big Eight honoree, and Scott Wedman (1971-74), also a two-time all-league player and a two-time NBA all-star, will have their jerseys retired at halftime.
Arenacross duel at the Coliseum
Yamaha’s Chad Johnson and Honda’s Brock Sellards will settle the championship of the AMA National Arenacross Series at the Denver Coliseum tonight and Saturday night. Sellards made up a seven-point deficit at last weekend’s stop in Memphis, Tenn., leaving the two tied heading into the 10th and final weekend of the series.
