A flying saucer descends on Washington with a message of peace, a large robot announcing to the assembled soldiers “Klaatu Barada Nikto.” We still don’t know what that means but we think they might have been the names of stocks to avoid in the dot.com bust. (1951) American Movie Classics

6 p.m. “Biography”

This profile of Marlon Brando looks at his cinematic career with triumphs in films like “The Godfather,” his relationship with Holllywood and his retreat to a private island in the South Pacific where he spent his final years preparing for a one-man show, “An Evening with Jabba the Hut.” Biography Channel

7 p.m. “Winter Olympics”

The Italians bring together an evening of pageantry, much like any Olympics opening ceremony, only it takes four hours and there are a half dozen appetizers. NBC

7 p.m. “Arrested Development”

This is the special two-hour season finale, providing one more chance to see that show you heard was really good and you’ve totally meant to watch before it gets canceled and you buy the box set. Fox

7 p.m. “Swimfan”

A member of the high school swim team sleeps with an attractive new classmate who then develops a dangerous obsession with him, stalking his every move. It’s like “Fatal Attraction” for teens, except the bunny thing is part of the biology class. (2002) WB

7 p.m. “100 Greatest Teen Stars”

The final hour introduces us to the top 20. They were chosen by their popularity, their impact on the entertainment industry, how many times they sued their parents and whether or not they had a haircut named after them.VH1

8 p.m. “Gamekillers”

A look at classic dating blunders, including talking about your ex, complaining about your mom, explaining the significance of your prison tattoos and asking “do you wanna’ see my before picture? MTV
