St. Cloud, Minn. – Bobby Goepfert stopped 40-of-41 shots one night after his worst performance since transferring to St. Cloud State, and the Huskies won 2-1 to salvage a series split with Colorado College on Saturday at the National Hockey Center.
St. Cloud State’s Gary Houseman scored on a slap shot from the blue line midway through the first period. CC’s Lee Sweatt tied it shortly after a CC power play expired in the second, but Joe Jensen netted the game-winner late in the period.
The Huskies (17-10-3, 12-9-1 WCHA) reclaimed sole possession of fourth place.
CC (19-12-1, 11-10-1) lost for the sixth time in the past eight games. The Tigers were 0-for-7 in the series with a man advantage.
