Arapahoe County – A 31-year-old man accused of pretending he was a pre-teen so he could sexually assault as many as 20 children pleaded not guilty to 72 charges Thursday.

Prosecutors also charged Zuri-Kye Latifbay McGhee with five new felonies based on testimony of two new alleged victims.

Judge Michael Spear scheduled McGhee’s trial to begin July 17. A preliminary hearing on the five new counts will be March 14.

Prosecutors say that if McGhee is found guilty of the charges, he could face life in prison. He’s being held in Arapahoe County Jail on $2 million bail.

Police say McGhee pretended that he was a juvenile, hosting slumber parties with pre- teens. He also acted as a tutor at Arkansas Elementary School, where he met some of his victims, prosecutors say.

Investigators say they continue to find alleged victims.
