Callie Kolbe, a senior at Cherry Creek High School, has a 3.88 grade-point average and is in the top 5 percent of her class. She is president of the senior class and the Spanish Honor Society.

Callie was the head of the Cherry Creek Diversity program during her junior year. The program assembles multicultural teams to help the community understand and explore the diversity that makes up the community, state and country. Callie personally recruited more than 20 groups to attend the program.

Callie has been a dancer with the Cherry Creek High School varsity pom dance team for three years. The team took third in the nation in her sophomore year and also won the Colorado title.

Callie attended an international diplomacy program at American University in Washington. She also participated in the People to People program, in which she visited Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England as a student ambassador.

Callie has been accepted at Tufts University in Massachusetts as an early-decision candidate and will enroll next fall. She plans to study international diplomacy and become a diplomat.
