Action sports returning to Pepsi Center
The Dew Action Sports Tour is coming back to the Pepsi Center after making a Denver stop during last year’s inaugural tour. The Denver stop July 13-16 again will be the second on the tour, and the sports remain the same: skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross.
CFL team offering tryouts in Broomfield
The Ottawa Renegades of the Canadian Football League will host a tryout camp at Impact Sports in Broomfield on March 11, the first time a CFL team has conducted tryouts in Colorado. DU golf team stands seventh in Florida
The University of Denver women’s golf team was in seventh place, 14 strokes behind leader Augusta State, after the first day of the Pat Bradley Championships at Miccosukee Golf Club in Miami. The tournament concludes today.
DU junior Emily Hoeper was tied for fourth at 146 after rounds of 74 and 72 on the par-73 course. Georgia State’s Lisbeth Meincke had a two-shot lead on the field at 143. DU freshman Dawn Shockley was tied for 29th at 155.
