Comedy: kills them every time.

What’s experimental comedy?

It’s the birthright of Los Cómicos Super Hilariosos, from the deep, dark, ripples inside the mind of Denver’s Adam Cayton-Holland, a place that’s only funny from the outside, I’m sure.

The last Thursday of every month, you can catch “Denver’s only comedy show with a Spanish-sounding title and not one Hispanic comic” at Old Curtis Street Bar.

You’ll either laugh or leave, but either way, it’s a kick in the pants.

What: Los Cómicos Super Hilariosos

Where: Old Curtis Street Bar, 2100 Curtis Street, 9:30

Cost: $5

It’s always convenient for a business to take up shop in a building whose historic acronym is WOW.

The historic Woodmen of the World building at 6th and Santa Fe has been home to WOW Antique Mall for years.

Sadly, WOW is closing its doors, saying goodbye to 18,000 square feet featuring an amazing collection of antique dealers, interior decorators, artist and artisan services.

But for a few more weeks, you can catch deals while you can at amazing closeout prices, and say farewell to a local antique pillar.

What: WOW Antique Mall closing sale

Where: 574 Santa Fe

More info: 303-595-8397

A night of One-Acts.

Not even one-acts – whole plays condensed into less than a quarter-hour.

If nothing more than your attention span keeps you from visiting the theatregularlyary, consider Write Angle’s “Colorado Quickies,” a night of ten, ten-minutes plays, all written by local playwrights.

Featuring 2-for-1 admission on Thursdays, as well as a talkback with writers and performers, Write Angle has reinvented the format of theater.

What: Colorado Quickies

Where: John Hand Theater, 7653 East 1st Place

Cost: $17 ($15 for students and seniors)
