Gunnison can be a very cold place. That chilliness evaporates quickly at Bowlz Gourmet Eatery. The breezily decorated diner serves steaming saucers of creatively crafted vittles as well as delicious Americanos. Asian-inspired apps like lettuce wraps and pan-fried dumplings come with spicy homemade sauces that wash back well with a Mirror Pond Ale. If Gunni’s notorious nip lingers, dive into the stir-fried Firecracker bowl and you’ll be sweating by the second slurp. The Thai curry, chicken eggplant and shrimp fettucine bowls are equally delicious and warming. A late-night coffee bar keeps eyes open for those just passing through.

Get there — 206 N. Main St. in Gunnison.
