Wednesday, March 1

Sometimes the best part of living in the big city is getting out of it.

Denver is a big town with a big heart, and it’s surrounded by smaller towns with big hearts.

Arvada, just north and slightly west, has an olde town heart that has a preserved feel, and a great local hangout that serves its purpose well.

D-Note on Grandview features fun live music, gourmet pizza, and libations from local breweries (including that’s hard to find!).

If you want a break from urban crowds, head out of town and slighty north-west.

What: D-Note

Where: 7519 Grandview Avenue

Yes, you’re absolutely right. When it comes to durability, plastic CDs and DVDs are always on the losing end.

While the digital era continues to bulldoze your entire CD and DVD collection, that doesn’t mean you don’t want to keep your physical collection in great shape.

Video One on Colfax offers disc buffing at around $2 a disc, which can save you hundreds of dollars in replacing your movies or albums that have become unreplacable.

Optimistic? Maybe. But it’s a better alternative than letting all that money you spent become completely irrelevant.

What: Disc Buffing at Video One

Where: 1301 East Colfax
