Colorado Springs – St. Cloud State downed Colorado College 3-1 on Sunday to win their three-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.

With the victory, the Huskies will make their first appearance in the WCHA’s Final Five since 2002. St. Cloud State (20-15-4) will play Minnesota-Duluth in the first round of the Final Five at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on Thursday. Colorado College fell to 24-15-2.

CC tied the game when Brett Sterling scored on a 5-on- 3 power play in the third. But goals by Nate Raduns and Matt Stephenson sealed the victory for St. Cloud State.
