The Colorado Rapids on Wednesday waived goalkeeper Byron Foss, who had a 3-1-2 record in six games in 2005, and announced the retirement of defender and midfielder Leo Cullen.
Cullen, who played in 15 games last season, has accepted a job as assistant coach for the University of Maryland women’s soccer team.
