Getting your player ready...

Q: Help Scott. I had this man in my life 15 months ago, broke up with him in February, 2995, and still I hold “special affection” feelings for him.

He told me sweet words like “you drive me wild” and “you’re a very special man… I want to get to know you more.” And then after two months of hot, passionate love-making, he tells me, “We need to go slow in this relationship.”

Scott, I never rushed things with him. But I was not aware that he was also with three other men besides me. Additionally, he set me up for a nice ski trip I had scheduled for us both in March, ’05, then called me the day prior to tell me he couldn’t join me.

What in heck can I do to get him out of my mind!!!???? Help me please!

Every time I hear about this guy and his new partner, I just cringe with hatred and anger. How do I change my attitude around?

I’m having a bad life right now, and I want a better attitude towards all this to move on to my future with someone else.

– Going Crazy Still (from the Kylie Minogue song, “Can’t Get You Out of My Mind”)

SCOTT: Have some comfort in knowing that you’re not the first one to get played by a player. Forget what he was telling you, the slag was seeing three other guys, demonstrating that instead of being a one-on-one relationship type he’s a lying bastard.

Well that should help get him out of your mind!

But not all guys are like that, and now that we’ve got that (*ahem*) straight, don’t waste any more time on him.

All that’ll do is perpetuate your anger, which is counterproductive to finding someone who’s worthy of your valuable time, who wants what you want and who can be honest about their life.
