
Elly Collins is a senior ranked fifth in her class at Legacy High School in Broomfield.
She has participated in marching band for four years and was a drum major this year. In October, the band’s performance of “Exodus” took third place in the state competition at Invesco Field at Mile High.
Elly completed her Girl Scout Gold Award in March. For her project, she collected and donated musical instruments for middle school band members in Adams County.
Her volunteer hours have earned her the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Elly has a 4.1 weighted grade-point average and will attend the University of Colorado at Boulder in the fall.
