Grandstand seating for the fifth annual Centrix Financial Grand Prix of Denver will be available for general admission ticket-holders, race organizers announced Monday.
Another change for the Aug. 13 race will be a VIP Pit Row section. Tickets go on sale today and can be purchased at www.gpdenver.com or at 877-772-5425.
UNC wrestling coach honored
University of Northern Colorado coach Jack Maughan was named college coach of the year by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Colorado Chapter.
The Bears completed their second year of a full Division I schedule, finishing 7-9.
They also won their sixth all-time championship at the Colorado Collegiates in Alamosa.
UCCS hires men’s basketball assistant
CU-Colorado Springs named Bill Kappel assistant coach for the men’s basketball team. Kappel was an assistant at Mesa State from 1996-98, and was a coach at Liberty High School in Colorado Springs.
