In other words, Marmot’s new Super Hero Jacket is designed to disappear. The Super Hero makes use of what Marmot calls “Mosaic Zonal Construction” to optimize performance through a strategic variety of woven or knit fabrics appropriate to different parts of the body. The core of the jacket is water-resistant and breathable Gore Windstopper Scuba soft-shell fabric. The shoulders and arms are reinforced with thicker Gore Windstopper Tasset fabric. The underarm vent gussets are breathable knit, and the removable tuck-away hood is lightweight and windproof. The result is a lightweight shell created as a singular “dressing system” that provides comfort in a variety of conditions without a second thought. Ideal for the fickle spring weather of the Colorado high country, you won’t even notice it’s there.
