The subject-line in my e-mail box drew me like a moth to light: “CONTROVERSIAL NEW COURSE TEACHES HOW TO BE A BASTARD.”
Plenty of people will tell you I don’t need any instruction in this area, but I opened the e-mail anyway. It was a press release touting a motivational tape series titled “Success for Bastards How to Lie, Cheat, Scheme, Manipulate and Coerce Your Way to Wealth, Power, Fame, Fortune, Success, Victory and Happiness in the Real World.”
“Finally, someone has the guts to tell it like it is about success!” the press release said.
