A searcher found the body of a woman in Gaynor Lake south of Longmont about 5 p.m. Friday.

Boulder County authorities weren’t confirming that it was a woman who has been missing from her home in the area since Tuesday.

The body was found near the shoreline by a ground searcher from the Longmont Emergency Unit. There were no obvious signs of trauma, said Commander Phil West of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy will be performed.

The missing woman, Christina “Tina” Marie Winwood, 50, last spoke to her daughter on Tuesday and was seen in her neighborhood, the Gaynor Lake subdivision, that afternoon. Winwood’s daughter reported her missing on Thursday.

Winwood is described as white, 5-foot-1-inch tall with brown hair and brown eyes and weighing between 80 and 105 pounds.

Family members told deputies that Winwood has some mental health issues and probably wouldn’t be carrying any identification, cash or credit cards.

Investigators think Winwood was on foot because her two cars were at her house on Friday.

Because Gaynor Lake is close to her home, the Longmont Emergency Unit sent a dive team into the lake to look for her.
