My favorite athlete: Beth, my older sister, who played basketball and soccer at Southern Colorado (now CSU-Pueblo).

My favorite team: New York Yankees, they have cute players.

What I listen to: Acoustic music.

The best thing on my training table: Rice.

Pregame ritual: I go for a walk a couple hours before I play.

Time management tip: I work out my priorities and do what’s important. It’s school first, then time for sports.

Planned career: Undecided. I’m going to let it come to me.

My family: Parents Bill and Mary Ann; sisters Fran, Chris, Jennifer, Beth, Emily, Rebecca, Melissa, Hilary, Sarah and Molly; brothers Billy, Mark, Tim and T.J.

I would love to visit: Europe.

What I like most about high school sports: Just playing the games. The coaches let you play.

What I like least about high school sports: I don’t like the drama and politics of the sports.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
