The city of Northglenn has selected a development team for the planning and development of its new city center.
Prime West Development Inc. and Zing Development Strategies will work together to give Northglenn a town center on an 11-acre site at 120th Avenue and Grant Street.
They were selected after the city stopped negotiations last fall with Opus/Goldberg, a partnership between Opus Northwest and Goldberg Properties.
The development will be anchored by a 16-screen Century Theaters complex scheduled to open early next year. The adjoining mixed-use development will include shops, restaurants and office space.
The development is next to a 38-acre regional park and recreation center.
“We want to embrace those two existing uses with our master plan to make it a bigger development,” said Steve Clarke, president and chief executive of Prime West. The company has developed, renovated or acquired more than 5 million square feet of commercial space.
Anne Rosen, president of Zing Development Strategies, brings expertise in developing a town center in conjunction with the public sector.
Rosen, formerly director of real estate for the Lowry Redevelopment Authority, led planning and development for Lowry Town Center, a similar 11- acre site.
